Mission

CPPS is committed to building a sustainable network of diverse parent, family, and community voices to ensure a high-quality education for all children in Portland Public Schools.

Our Belief

We believe excellent schools require the participation of the whole community – schools simply cannot do it without us.

Welcome to CPPS of Portland

CPPS is Back and Growing!

There are over 50 new members signed up and two dynamic new leaders, Christy Splitt and Ashley Schofield. Ashley has agreed to serve as President and Christy has agreed to serve as Vice President/Secretary.  Will Fuller will continue as Treasurer.  All these positions are interim while we build a board of directors which will review and appoint officer positions.

Thanks to the efforts of those two dynamic parents, the long-dormant Portland chapter of Parents for Public Schools has woken up, with energized parents and community members ready to get to work!

CPPS is committed to building a sustainable network of diverse parent, family, and community voices to ensure a high-quality education for all children in Portland Public Schools.

On Monday, February 26, 2024 a group of over 50 parents and community members lobbied our state legislators and them to work together with the community to find ways to fully fund our public schools. We had great conversations, made connections, and gave power to the voice of the parent/caregiver community in Portland public schools. We are ready to work together and convene all the voices who care about fully funding our public schools.

If you are interested in the hard work of convening the voices of parents and community to protect our public schools, please click here to join us and stay up to date!
